The MARLIN data manager (MDM) is a Hand-held
machinery and process data input, storage and
review computer. |
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
The MARLIN™ system offers a comprehensive solution for improving
machinery and process reliability and enhancing
productivity in industrial process and manufacturing
plants. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
MARLIN
computerizes the operations and maintenance teams and
facilitates a "cross-functional" approach to
reliability, enabling the incorporation of "Total
Productive Maintenance" (TPM) fundamentals into the
maintenance and inspection processes. |

MARLIN™ DATA MANAGER (MDM) |
|
| |
|
|
| |
With its pen based
computing and bar code scanner, or using the MARLIN
systems Condition Detector (MCD), the MARLIN data
manager allows quick and easy input, storage, and
review of machine inspection, vibration, temperature,
and process information as well as trends, inspection
comments or notes. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
A component of the
complete MARLIN system, the MDM enables the recording
of process and visual inspection data via the touch
sensitive display.Recorded machinery data and alarm
information is displayed in alphanumeric or graphical
formats on the MDMs LCD screen for immediate in the
field fault detection trending, and analysis. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
The MDM records
both ROUTE and non-ROUTE data. With the MDM, data
collection can be easily conducted in random sequence
using the built-in bar code scanning device that
automatically identifies machines and measurement

|
| |
|
|
| |
To make the
process of identifying impending problems in the field
simple and straightforward, the MDM allows programming
of alert and danger alarms for a specific machine or
point. In addition, the MDM supports Statistical
Process Control (SPC) alarms. By comparing field data
with an extensive SPC rulebase (18 separate rules), an
operator is instantaneously informed of data that
falls outside of desired conditions. Preprogrammed
alarm messages provide immediate guidance and action
steps to the individual collecting the data to
facilitate appropriate corrective measures. |

Surveyor software enhances the power of the MARLIN
data manager by providing a simplified means of
configuring the system, while enabling long term
storage, trending and analysis of machine and process
conditions. The MDM configuration may also be
accomplished using the on-screen virtual keyboard. |

RANGE OF SYSTEM
ACCESSORIES |
|
| |
|
|
| |
While the MARLIN
data manager is a fully functional stand-alone device,
its most powerful application is in conjunction with
the range of MARLIN accessories including the MARLIN
Condition Detector and the QuickConnect line of
mechanical and computerized studs. When used in
conjunction with the MARLIN Condition Detector, the
system offers the added functionality of automatically
recording vibration, and temperature information
through a sensor directly into the MDM. |

HAND-HELD COMPUTER
DESIGNED FOR WEAR AND TEAR |
|
| |
|
|
| |
The MARLIN data
manager weighs less than two (2) pounds (900 grams)
and is one of the lightest products in its class. It
is ergonomically designed for comfortable single
handed use over an extended period of time, and fits
snugly into the palm. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Adjustable strap
and triggers on both sides of the unit allow right- or
left handed use with equal ease and comfort. The
strap also lets users relax their grip, reducing the
fatigue associated with repetitive tasks.Backlit
screen is easy to read for improved
productivity and
reduced eye fatigue in the most poorly lit
environments. Rugged construction, sealed case and
advanced design allow the MDM to withstand repeated
6.6 foot (2 meter) drops to concrete without damage to
the display, scanner or frame and protects against
extreme conditions, including windblown rain or dust. |
